Group standard for bimetallic composite steel pipe has passed expert review

On June 6th, 2025, the review meeting for the group standard Inconel 625 + X65 Bimetallic Composite Steel Pipes for Deep - Sea Oil and Gas Resource Transportation, which was initiated by CAMT and primarily drafted by NCS Testing Technology  Co., Ltd., was successfully convened in Beijing. The expert panel participating in the review was composed of leaders and technical backbones from national industry organizations, scientific research institutions, and relevant pipeline steel production enterprises. Its aim was to conduct a rigorous review of this technical specification that fills a gap in the industry and provide a solid technical support for the safe and efficient development of China's deep - sea oil and gas resources.

First, the standard drafting working group reported in detail to the expert panel on the compilation background of the standard, core technical indicators, and the adoption and handling of publicly solicited modification opinions.

With a highly responsible attitude and profound professional competence, the expert panel carried out a clause - by - clause and sentence - by - sentence review of the technical advancement, scientific rationality, operability, and text normativeness of the standard submission for review. At the same time, focusing on core technical indicators such as product technical requirements, test methods, detection requirements, and dimensional tolerances, they put forward many valuable and constructive opinions and suggestions.

The expert panel believes that this group standard further standardizes the core technical requirements for the product design, manufacturing, and inspection of bimetallic composite steel pipes for deep - sea oil and gas transportation. It will play a positive role in further improving and perfecting China's product standard system for deep - sea bimetallic composite steel pipes, guiding and standardizing production enterprises to optimize process flows, promoting product technological progress, and improving customer service quality. The panel unanimously agreed that the standard passed the review.

The standard drafting working group stated that it would modify and improve the text content again in accordance with the review opinions of the expert panel and submit it to CAMT for approval and official release in the near future.
