meeting for group standard of Tec. Spec. of Hot-rolled Flat Steel was held

On May 22, 2025, the third drafters' meeting of the "Technical Specification for Hot-rolled Flat Steel Products" group standard was successfully held at Huaigang. The meeting was organizred by the Standardization Working Committee of CAMT and undertaken by Jiangsu Shagang Group Huaigang Special Steel Co., Ltd. Members of the drafting working group of this standard and relevant technical experts attended the meeting together.

Before the meeting began, Qian Hongjian, General Manager of Jiangsu Shagang Group Huaigang Special Steel Co., Ltd., and Zheng Lining, Chief Engineer  of Jiangsu Shagang Group Huaigang Special Steel Co., Ltd., jointly received the drafting workgroup and representatives. They held brief exchanges on topics such as market trends, technological innovation, and standard application of hot-rolled flat steel, offering insights and suggestions for completing the standard drafting work with higher quality.

Zeng Lingyu, First Deputy Chief Engineer of Jiangsu Shagang Group Huaigang Special Steel Co., Ltd., delivered a welcome speech at the meeting. He commented the rigor and standardization of the standard-setting work by CAMT, stating that while actively participating in the standard drafting, the company is willing to leverage this meeting to strengthen exchanges and cooperation among enterprises and achieve win-win development.

After listening to the introduction of the standard preparation schedule by Jiang Chao, the principal drafter from the Bar Materials Research Institute of Qingdao Special Steel Co., Ltd., the drafting workgroup conducted a comprehensive and systematic review of technical parameters, production process adaptability, market application, etc. Combining with production practices, they put forward many optimization suggestions to further ensure that the standard preparation not only meets the current industry status but also has forward-looking and operable features. The meeting also clarified the task allocation and preparation schedule requirements for the next stage. The drafting workgroup stated that it will complete the data supplementation and text modification as soon as possible according to the plan and requirements.

The meeting was chaired by Chen Zhuo, Secretary-General of Standardization Working Committee of CAMT. Shi Kewei, Deputy Chief Engineer of Jiangsu Shagang Group Huaigang Special Steel Co., Ltd., and personnel from the Chief Engineer's Office attended the meeting.
