CAMT First Black Bulk Commodity Supply Chain Risk MGMT Forum was held

On May 8th, the first Black Bulk Commodity Supply Chain Risk Management Forum with the theme of "Effective Prevention and Control, Skillful Risk Mitigation" was successfully held in Beijing. This forum was hosted by CAMT, co-organized by the Shanghai Futures Exchange, undertaken by the Risk Management Special Committee of CAMT, and co-organized by Shanghai Ganglian E-commerce Co., Ltd. and Beijing Chenshi Technology Management Co., Ltd. Chen Leiming, Secretary of the Party Branch, Executive President and Secretary-General of CAMT, delivered an opening and a keynote speech, sharing methods and suggestions on risk management and prevention for steel circulation enterprises. He stated that currently, steel circulation enterprises are facing multiple tests such as price fluctuations, credit risks, and compliance challenges. As a key link in the supply chain, circulation enterprises should always adhere to the concept of "risk prevention in advance" and need to coexist symbiotically with upstream and downstream partners. It is recommended that enterprises prevent risks from aspects such as institutional construction, risk control system construction, prudent cooperation, and fund management and control. At the same time, they should use futures and derivatives to avoid market risks. He emphasized that in the future, the steel industry will transform in aspects such as supply-demand balance, reasonable structure, supply chain coordination, digital economy, model change, green development, and value reconstruction, etc.
