Tangshan reviews four iron ore processing projects

The Tangshan Ecological and Environment Bureau has announced and started reviews of the environmental impact approvals (EIA) of four iron ore processing projects. These have a total iron ore processing capacity of 3.3 million tonnes/year, Kallanish notes.

Xinqi Mining Company in Qianxi County expects to have the ability to process 600,000 t/y of iron ore and produce 200,000 t/y of iron ore concentrate.

Pengteng Iron Concentrator in Zunhua plans to invest CNY 50 million ($7.76m) to reach processing capacity of 1 million t/y of iron ore and produce 400,000 t/y of coarse concentrate. Annual output will be 720,000t of 66% Fe iron ore fines.

Zunxing Iron Concentrator and Changhongdeli Iron Concentrator in Zunhua plan to invest CNY 10.86m and CNY 36.32m, respectively. Zunxing expects to process 1m t/y of low-grade iron ore into 600,000 t/y of coarse iron concentrate, and Changhongdeli plans to process 700,000t of iron ore and produce 800,000t of coarse iron concentrate annually.
