Nucor lifts tubular prices

Nucor’s tubular division is lifting all spot base prices for hollow-structural sections, pipe, mechanical and piling products, effective immediately. 

The $100/short ton increase is a result of “...rising raw material costs, strong demand, and volatility of transportation costs,” Nucor says. 

Extant orders will be price-protected through 29 January, Kallanish understands.

Earlier in the week, Nucor announced that plate pricing would also be advancing by $100/st.
